Miami-Dade Police say a teenager wanted for murder is now on the run.
Dwayne Lebarr Jr., 18, from Miami, is wanted for killing 63-year-old Craig Douglas Wolfe, who was found dead inside his North Bay Village apartment last month on the 7900 block of East Drive. Authorities are still searching for Lebarr Jr., who they say was allegedly engaged in a relationship with Wolfe.
"We know [Lebarr Jr.] has family in South Florida, so we're not sure if he's still in the area or if he's actually fled, so we certainly need information on his whereabouts,” said Miami-Dade Police detective Roy Rutland.
Lebarr Jr. appeared as a “wanted subject” on a flyer issued by the Miami-Dade Homicide Bureau in June. Police, who said his last known address is 2418 NW 94 St. in Miami, believe the man is armed and dangerous.
"There's no question, he murdered this man," Rutland told NBC 6.
Wolfe’s neighbor’s security camera captured Lebarr Jr. on video as he entered and exited Wolfe’s apartment several times the night before his body was discovered, according to an arrest warrant. Lebarr Jr. then called 911, drove to a UPS store and mailed a package to himself, Miami-Dade Police said.
"We tracked that package, we wrote up a search warrant, we opened it and found items that he had purchased with that victim's credit card in addition to bloody clothing that we know belonged to him,” Rutland said. “So clearly he was trying to conceal that evidence. Why he did it that way, it's still unclear."
The clothes in the package also matched the clothes his mother described him as wearing when he left their home.

Authorities said it appears as though the 18-year-old took advantage of the man’s generosity, stole his credit card and killed him.
"Our focus right now is finding the fugitive and then simply charging him with murder,” Rutland said.
Detectives believe Lebarr Jr. met the 63-year-old online.
The teenager’s family refused to talk to NBC 6 Tuesday.
