Text Message Prompts Florida School Lockdown, 2 Students Questioned

Two students have been questioned about a text message that warned of a shooting at their Florida high school.

The text message led to a four-hour lockdown at Windermere High School on Thursday.

Orange County Sheriff's spokeswoman Ingrid Tejada-Monforte says deputies searched the school but found no weapons. She says the text message, which spread quickly through social media, read: "Shooting at anytime today we are already inside Windermere High School be safe."

Tejada-Monforte says investigators found one of the students believed to have sent the text at school. The other was found at home. Their names and ages weren't released.

Both students were released to their parents and could face charges of disrupting a school function, which is a misdemeanor.
