Jupiter police have released more surveillance video Friday with footage showing fugitive Paul Michael Merhige buying a gun at a Fort lauderdale gun shop.
The video is from Nov. 25, the day before Merhige drove to Jupiter and shot six of his family members, killing four of them including his twin sisters and a 6-year-old cousin.
The owner of the shop, who did not want to be identified, said Merhige bought two pistols and an automatic rifle and had a concealed license permit. He has also recently shopped for guns at Bass Pro Shops, the owner said.
Most of the guns in the store are tailored for law enforcement, but Merhige was a repeat customer the owner continued..
Police and federal authorities have stepped up their efforts to catch Merhige, who has become one of America's most wanted. The 35-year-old Miami resident was thought to have been back in South Florida or possibly Michigan, but searches have turned up empty.
Police have upped the reward to $25,000 for his capture and a local business in Jupiter has pledged another $10,000 for information leading to Merhige.
On Thanksgiving night, Merhige opened fire on 16 members of his family who gathered for a meal. Police allege Merhige, who was invited by his father, sat quietly through dinner before unleashing a hail of bullets on his unsuspecting family members.

Several sources said the unprovoked attack was the result of years of pent up resentment against his parents and sisters. One witness said Merhige uttered the chilling words, "I have been waiting 20 years for this," after he finished firing and walked out of the Jupiter home.
He hasn't showed up on the grid since. Police believe Merhige is only using cash and he hasn't contacted relatives or friends.
