Every queen needs a palace and the drag queens of South Beach will be allowed to keep theirs, ruled the Miami Beach City Commission on Tuesday.

The Sunday Drag Brunch at The Palace had become the center of a controversy between the women, er, men who paraded the catwalk and the management at the Tides Miami Beach, the hotel next door.

The Tides claimed The Palace was violating city code ordinances and that the parties were too noisy. A dozen noise complaints in the past year were lobbed at The Palace and the Sunday shows were stopped.

The fight eventually went to Facebook and we all know what happens when you take a feud to social networking sites.

Drama, queen.

But the Miami Beach Commission appears to have brokered a compromise for now.

The drag queens get to continue their brunch fun, but their weekly parties must start earlier and end earlier. The group's Friday and Saturday parties routinely start at midnight. now they must start at 10 p.m.

"Tiffany Fantasia," announced on commissioner, "you are one of the most talented performers I've ever seen." The statement received thunderous applause from the drag queens and other Palace supporters who had packed the meeting hall.

The commission said the agreement will be in effect for the next 60 days to see if there is any more drama between the Queens and the Tides.
