Three Missing Children Found Aboard Father's Boat: Coast Guard

The children had been missing since August 17

The Coast Guard found three missing children aboard their father's sailboat off the coast of Pompano Beach on Tuesday.

Megan, 14, Maxwell, 13, and Sebastian Bryant, 11, had been missing since August 17, the Coast Guard said.

The children's father James Bryant, 44, had been wanted on a felony warrant for three counts of parenting interference after not returning the children to their mother in Montana.

James Bryant will be turned over to the Broward Sheriff's Office.

The boat was intercepted by the Coast Guard after being spotted by Customs and Border Protection aircrew.

There was also a dog, cat, snake and lizard aboard the boat.

"Through our joint efforts, a suspected kidnapper has been apprehended without incident, and a mother will have her three children safely returned to her unharmed," said Capt. Chris Scrava, commander of Coast Guard sector Miami.
