    Three people were shot Friday night at Gibson Park in Miami during a little league football game, officials said.

    Hundreds of people were watching kids between the ages of 7 and 9 play a Pop Warner Optimist football game when someone started shooting, the City of Miami Police Department said.

    "We have families coming out to support their kids on a Friday night, an innocent game, innocent kids," said Keandra Simmons of Miami Police.

    Authorities said several officers were already in the area and were able to respond quickly. The shooting injuries were non-life threatening and the victims were transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital.

    The suspect and his or her intended target is unknown at the time.

    The park is located at 401 NW 12th St. in the Overtown area.
