A 22-month-old boy died Friday afternoon after being run over by a sports utility vehicle in the parking lot of Titusville High School, authorities said.

Brady Hutto of Auburndale was struck by an SUV that was backing up from a parking spot during a softball game, according to a news release by the city of Titusville.

The driver of the 2008 Ford SUV told police she did not see the child as she began backing out of her space, according to the release.

No charges have been filed against the driver and police say there appear to be no signs that alcohol was involved.

The incident remains under investigation by the Titusville Police Traffic Homicide Investigators.
