A three-year-old boy survived a fall from a third story balcony in Fort Lauderdale Friday.
A hot tub appears to have saved the toddler's life by breaking his fall.
Fort Lauderdale police say the child fell from the balcony at his home in the 1700 block of North Dixie Highway.
The child fell on top of a hot tub cover, which acted like a trampoline. Police said he bounced off, took off his shoes and ran upstairs to tell his parents.
The child was taken to Broward Health Medical Center as a precaution, where he was said to be walking and talking just fine.
