    Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a hit-and-run in which a tow truck driver was killed.

    Florda Highway Patrol is investigating a hit and run that killed a tow truck driver early Saturday morning in Miami.

    The tow truck driver was assisting a disabled car on southbound State Road 874 by Killian Parkway at about 3 a.m. when another car veered into the emergency lane, struck the tow truck driver and drove away, said Florida Highway Patrol spokesman Joe Sanchez.

    Miami Police said they have recovered the 2010 Mazda involved in a hit-and-run crash that killed Ana Mares, 52, in Brickell on March 22. Miami Police spokesman Sgt.     Sandor Guillen, 38, was back in court Monday after he was taken into custody for testing positive for amphetamines. His attorney Bruce Lehr presented documentation that he was approved to take the medication, and Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Ellen Sue Venzer said she would allow Guillen to post bond and leave jail Tuesday as long as he meets drug testing requirements, though he will remain under house arrest.     Officials are looking for an older model, burgundy BMW with damage to the front right side. Sanchez said the outside rear view mirror should be missing and the right side passenger window should be shattered.
