This weekend, motorists can expect some major changes on some portions of State Road 836, including some closures.
According to a release from the Florida Department of Transportation, the westbound SR-836 exit ramp to both north and south SR-836 will be CLOSED from Friday at 10 p.m. through Sunday at 6 a.m.
The closures are being put in place to make way as the westbound travel lanes of SR-836 between Northwest 57th Avenue and Northwest 87th Avenue will be shifted to the north side of the newly constructed roadway. The exits to Northwest 72nd Avenue/West Flagler Street/Northwest 87th Avenue and to SR-826 north and sound will remain on the right side of the roadway.
Throughout the closures, westbound drivers on SR-836 going north or south on SR-826 can:
- Exit at Northwest 72 Avenue
- West on Northwest 11 Street to access SR-836 west ramp and access north or south SR-826 ramps
Additionally, the southbound SR-826 ramp to westbound SR-836 will be CLOSED overnight both Friday and Saturday from 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Drivers can:
- Use the southbound SR-826 ramp to eastbound SR-836 and merge to the left to connect with westbound SR-836
All westbound SR-836 travel lanes will be closed at Northwest 57 Avenue on Saturday between the hours of 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. At 6 a.m., two lanes will be opened and two lanes will remain closed until 12 p.m., Sunday, October 4. The Northwest 57 Avenue ramp to westbound SR-836 will also be closed during this time frame. Drivers can:
- Exit at Northwest 57 Avenue, go south
- West on Northwest Seventh7 Street, north on Milam Dairy Road
- West on NW 11 Street to access SR 836 west ramp
Westbound drivers on SR-836 going to West Flagler Street can:
- Exit at NW 57 Avenue, go south to connect with West Flagler Street
Westbound drivers on SR-836 going to Northwest 87 Avenue can:
- Exit at Northwest 57 Avenue, go south
- West on Northwest Seventh 7 Street, north on Milam Dairy Road
- West on Northwest 11th Street to access SR-836 west ramp and exit at the Northwest 87 Avenue/Northwest 12th Street ramp
Westbound drivers on SR-836 going north or south on SR-826 can:
- Exit at Northwest 57 Avenue, go south
- West on Northwest Seventh Street, north on Milam Dairy Road
- West on Northwest 11 Street to access SR-836 west ramp and access north or south SR-826 ramps
