Troops Spoof Dolphins Cheerleaders' Call Me Maybe Video

US Soldiers made a shot-by-shot remake of the Dolphins cheerleaders' viral lip dub

Just when you thought the phenomenon of Call Me Maybe lip dubs was over, it may have found new life. Inspired by the Miami Dolphins cheerleaders' lip dub of the Carly Rae Jepsen single, a group of US soldiers filmed a version of their own (watch it below).

The lip dub is a shot-by-shot remake of the Dolphins cheerleader version, shot on an unidentified base. The Dolphins cheerleaders shot theirs while on a swimsuit calendar photo shoot in the Dominican Republic, but their version did not include armored Humvees.

As of this writing, it only has around 4,000 views on YouTube, but their attention to detail deserves a much higher view count. The troops' video was uploaded to YouTube on September 30, but it might find some new life now.

The song is currently #34 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, but sat atop the Hot 100 for nine consecutive weeks during the summer. As it grew in popularity, homemade lip dubs of the song spread like wildfire.

In addition to the Dolphins cheerleaders, the USA Olympic swim team, University of Florida baseball team, and Justin Bieber have recorded lip dubs.
