Parts of South Florida Wakes Up to Temps in 50s After Cold Front Arrives

After Tropical Storm Philippe brought several inches of rain and a tornado to South Florida Saturday, the weather was quite different as you wake up Monday morning.

A cold front that pushed south after storm brought morning temperatures in the 50s across parts of the area. While it's not expected to last long, it's the second time in the last week that cooler air has arrived in the area.

Temps are expected to stay in the 50s for much of the morning drive to work or school before jumping to the mid 60s by the middle of the morning. Winds will die down followed by bright sunshine in the afternoon with highs will be in the mid 70s.

The nice weather will stay for the next couple days, with the high on Tuesday expected to stay slightly below 80 degrees before getting back over that number on Wednesday. Rain chances stay away for much of the week before increasing to 30 percent by the weekend.
