A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a car in Fort Lauderdale Saturday evening.
The collision occurred in the 1800 block of South Federal Highway around 7:40 p.m.
According to police, Jeffrey Kwolik, 48, was walking across the the northbound lanes of South Federal Highway when a black Ford pickup truck, traveling northbound on South Federal Highway, struck him.
Kwolik was transported to Broward Health Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no indication that alcohol played a role. No charges have been filed at this time.
