Police are asking for the public's help in finding twin brothers who they say were involved in a massive fight at the Lauderhill Mall last month.
Michael and Matthew Russo, both 19, were active participants in the June 25th fight at the mall on N. State Road 7, Lauderhill Police said Thursday. Both are currently at large.
Police said the incident was the result of a social media message, and estimated that between 200-300 people showed up.
Officers had responded to a report of a large crowd of juveniles fighting at the mall and once on the scene, some of the crowd members entered the mall and a small fight ensued, police said.
One juvenile suffered minor injuries as a result of the fight, and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The crowd was quickly dispersed as police from Lauderhill, Sunrise, Plantation and the Broward County Sheriff's Office responded.
Two juveniles were arrested and charged with affray, but now police are looking for the Russo brothers. Anyone with knowledge of their whereabouts is asked to call Lauderhill Police at 954-497-4700.
