The victims were taken to Kendall Regional Hospital and are expected to recover.

Police are still searching for suspects after a shooting in Southwest Miami-Dade.

A 16-year-old and his 20-year-old friend were shot, possibly by three suspects, at 12401 SW 251 Street Saturday afternoon, according to police.

The victims were airlifted to Kendall Regional Hospital and are in stable condition, family members said.

Debra Smith, the mother of 20-year-old Henry Smith, said she spoke to her son just ten minutes before the shooting.

"Some people don't have a heart, have no conscience," she said. "This really has to stop, we're losing our youngsters by bullets."
