Two Miami Burger King Restaurants Robbed Within Minutes: Cops

Police investigating pair of armed robberies at Miami Burger Kings

Police are searching for a man they say robbed two different Miami Burger King restaurants through the drive-thru window within minutes of each other early Tuesday.

The first robbery happened at the Burger King at Northwest 20th Street and 13th Avenue, where witnesses said a man with his face covered got into the store through the drive-thru window.

It's unknown if the suspect was able to take any cash.

The nearly identical second robbery happened at the restaurant at Northwest 36th Street and 27th Avenue when the man once again came in through the drive-thru window, employees said.

Workers ran into a freezer to hide as the armed man took money and fled the scene, employees said.

At least one of the robberies was caught on surveillance video. No one was injured during either robbery.

Police are investigating both robberies but haven't given any details on the suspect.
