Authorities said one person was fatally shot and another injured in a shooting in Hialeah Wednesday afternoon.
Yovana Rodriguez, 44, of Hialeah was shot in the shoulder at West 29th Street and West 5th Avenue, authorities said.
She was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where is in stable condition and is expected to survive, Hialeah Police spokesman Carl Zogby said in an email.
He said subject Angel Guardi Gonzalez, 51, of Opa-Locka died in the shooting incident.
Zogby said he believed the couple were dating for a while, but Rodriguez recently broke off the relationship.
