One person is dead and another is in critical condition after a double shooting in Southwest Miami-Dade early Monday morning.
Police received a call at 1:45 a.m. Monday that two vehicles were involved in an altercation. When police arrived at 26246 S.W. 135th Place, they found two shooting victims at the scene.
Both victims were rushed to the hospital, one in a helicopter. One of the victims, a 38-year-old man, was later pronounced dead.
The other victim, an 18-year-old man, survived but is in critical condition.
Detectives are hoping the surviving victim can help solve the crime.
Police are still determining whether the two victims are also the ones involved in the shooting, or if there is a third party or more involved.
Several officers were at the scene early Monday and nearly a dozen evidence markers were on the ground.
