Police identified the victims of a shooting in North Miami Beach as 20-year-old Terrance Greene and 21-year-old Horatio Philmore, both of Miami.

Two people were shot inside a car early Friday morning in what police suspect was a random shooting,

According to Miami Police, the driver was shot in the leg and the passenger was shot in the chest. The passenger died at the hospital several hours after the shooting and the driver remains in good condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital, police said.

The victims were driving along NW 24th Avenue and NW 27th Street around 4:25 a.m. when a gunman shot them from the road and then ran away, police said. They do not know why they were targeted, police said.

Authorities continue investigating the incident. The names of the victims have not been released.
