Uber Creates Designated Pick-Up, Drop-Off Lot Outside of Marlins Park

Uber now has a designated pick-up and drop-off lot outside of Marlins Park, providing baseball fans with an easy-to-find transportation hub in advance of Major League Baseball’s All-Star festivities at the venue next month.

The company is now the Marlins’ preferred ridesharing partner, the team announced in a release Wednesday - enabling Uber to pick-up and drop-off riders in an allocated space along NW 5th Street and 14th Avenue.

The Uber lot is located in Lot E2 across from The Clevelander and is currently operating as the Marlins prepare to host the Cubs this weekend and the Mets next week.

"We are very excited with our new partnership with Uber as we continue to find ways to improve the overall fan experience at Marlins Park," Marlins President David Samson said in a statement. “The designated lot will provide fans with another transportation option when attending Marlins games, special events, and all the upcoming All-Star Game activities in July."

Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens introduced an Uber lot to be used for Miami Dolphins and Miami Hurricanes football games last August.

Uber’s agreement with the Marlins will also enable UberMILITARY driver partners to be recognized. Riders can nominate service members or veterans who provide quality service. Highly-rated drivers in South Florida will be selected and recognized at Marlins games on Mondays for the remainder of the season.

"With summer kicking off, and millions enjoying America's favorite pastime in the coming months, Uber is excited to partner with the Miami Marlins," Uber Florida General Manager Kasra Moshkani said in a statement. "At the tap of a button, Marlins fans can now rely on safe and reliable transportation options to and from Marlins Park from anywhere in South Florida."
