Coral Gables Police are investigating after a University of Miami student was found dead in his dorm room Thursday.
Police say no foul play is suspected in the death, which was discovered in one of the rooms in the building at 1231 Dickenson Drive.
The student hasn't been identified and no other information was immediately known.
"The University community is saddened to learn of the sudden death of a freshman this morning on campus," university president Donna Shalala said in a statement. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched in the University community."
Shalala said chaplains and counselors were available around the clock at the university.
