Urban Artist Nicky Jam Confirmed for Billboard's Latin Music Songwriter Session in Miami Beach

Puerto Rican-born Nick Rivera, better known as Nicky Jam, made his way to the top of the Billboard charts last Summer with his hit "El Perdon" (Forgiveness), and just this month his second hit "Hasta El Amanecer" (Until Dawn) entered the Hot Latin Songs chart at No. 1.

The multi-platinum Latin Urban artist who turned his life around after battling a drug addiction early in his career is now an accomplished songwriter, composer, singer and producer and will be the main guest a this year's Billboard Latin Music Conference's Songwriter session.

The event will be presented by Jorge Mejia from Sony/ATV and moderated by Leila Cobo, Billboard's executive director of Latin content and programming, and will feature an intimate glimpse at Jam's long road to stardom and will give attendees a first hand look at Jam's career highs and lows.

Nicky Jam is a finalist in 11 Latin Billboard Music Award categories including Artist and Composer of the Year. 

Jam's smash hit "El Perdon" written by Jam and recorded featuring Latin heartthrob Enrique Iglesias is up for a Latin Billboard award in five categories including, Hot Latin Song Vocal Collaboration and Song of the Year. 

Over 1,000 attendees and key industry leaders and music stars are expected at this year’s conference that takes place at April 25-28 at the Ritz-Carlton in South Beach.

The Billboard Latin Music conference culminates with the Billboard Latin Music Awards which air live on NBCUniversal's sister station Telemundo.
