Video Catches Dirt Bike Burglars Who Crashed Into Store

Police looking for group that stole 5 dirt bikes worth $31,000 from Miami-Dade store

Miami-Dade Police are looking for five men who were caught on video swiping a handful of dirt bikes during a smash and grab burglary at a motorcycle shop early Wednesday.

The burglary happened around 3 a.m. at the Reva Motorshop at 11995 Southwest 222nd St., police officials said.

Officials say the suspects used a stolen Ford F-250 truck to smash through the front gates of the shop and drove it into the store's metal shutters and glass door.

Surveillance video shows one of the suspects driving the truck through the gates and the others run in after they're knocked down.

"We suspect that they've been in the shop once, twice, probably three times," General Manager Shane Buchanan said. "We feel that it's definitely a local group of individuals. They knew exactly where they were going, they were set to do it, and they put all the pieces of the puzzle in place to make it happen."

Once inside, the suspects took five dirt bikes worth a total of $31,000, police said.

The video shows the suspects struggle to get the bikes into the bed of the truck, which began to roll away at one point.

Police said the only description they have of the suspects is five black males. The burglary is still being investigated, officials said.
