WATCH: Dunk City, Florida

The best high-flying dunks from Florida Gulf Coast's magical weekend at the NCAA Tournament

What started as a wryly brilliant Twitter joke has turned into a new slogan for the city of Fort Myers: Dunk City, FL. Florida Gulf Coast's shocking upset of Georgetown on Friday was all the more notable for the Eagles' barrage of high-flying dunks.

Looking like they belonged on the Miami Heat, and not a mid-major team in the Atlantic Sun Conference, the Eagles were flying above the rim throughout Friday night's clash with Georgetown.

They continued the pattern on Sunday against San Diego State, giving the basketball world the gift of eye-popping highlights while securing a berth in the Sweet Sixteen.

The school's Twitter feed responded to the pandemonium perfectly. On Friday night, with the Georgetown game still in progress, @FGCU tweeted, "When people ask you where FGCU is, just tell them Dunk City, Florida!"

The city of Fort Myers, home of FGCU, was so taken by the slogan that it was added to the header of the city's website Monday morning.

There are too many great dunks to list on one page, but here are the three best from the past weekend:

3. Eddie Murray's putback: Murray, a senior forward, follows a Brent Comer missed layup with a two-handed slam that gets the crowd hyped.

2. Comer sets up McKnight: Sophomore Eric McKnight takes a lob from Brent Comer for a thunderous finish.

1. Comer-to-Fieler punctuates the win over Georgetown: Nursing a 7-point lead over Georgetown with under two minutes to play, Comer tosses a perfectly-placed alley-oop over his shoulder for teammate Chase Fieler to bring home.
