WATCH: Man Steals Toddler's iPad in Tamarac Salon

Police are looking for a thief who was caught on camera stealing an iPad from a young boy inside a Tamarac beauty salon.

The incident happened on July 24 at Grace Salon at 5449 N. State Road 7, Broward Sheriff's Office officials said.

Officials said the 4-year-old boy was watching cartoons on the iPad while he waited for his mother when the thief ripped the device out of his hands and ran out the store. The boy wasn't injured.

Witnesses said the teen suspect was about 5-foot-6 with a thin build. His hair was shaved on the side with twists on top and he was wearing a purple shirt with "INVS" written on the front.

Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. A reward of up to $3,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest.

Meanwhile, 1976 Boxing Olympic Gold Medalist Howard Davis, Jr. stopped by the salon on Wednesday and donated a new iPad to the toddler.

"We should give when somebody needs," Davis said.

He told NBC 6 that helping others has become a hobby in his retirement years.

When asked whether success created his desire to give, he responded, "Winning is one thing but losing teaches you more."
