He came out of World War II in shape and ready to take on the world of weightlifting. Stanley Stanczyk had racked up a track record of national weightlifting wins prior to his service in the Pacific. He wanted to be the strongest man in the world. His son Richard recounted memories of his father's achievements.

Racers gathered Saturday for the "Anything that Floats" regatta race in the Keys.

The Florida Keys News Bureau reported that 17 groups of boaters raced with their creative vessels made of materials such as buckets, plastic toys, tape and plastic wrap among others.

Snorkelers Listen to Music Under the Sea

A team from Miami, team "Sea Ran Wrap," took home the first place prize in their PVC pipe and Saran wrap vessel.

Sundowners Restaurant in Key Largo organized the event.
