Online shoppers, we have some news for you – Walmart is now offering free, two-day shipping on more than two million items.
The world's largest retailer is making a major play against rival Amazon, which also offers free two-day shipping with a cost.
Walmart is offering the same deal after a minimum purchase of $35 with no sign up fee.
"Free shipping is very important to shoppers, most especially when they get to the end and they're checking out,” said CNBC retail correspondent Courtney Reagan. “Shipping costs is one of the highest, if not number one, reasons that consumers will decide not to go through with a purchase,”
Online, Walmart has a long way to go to catch up. Amazon hit $107 billion in internet sales in 2015, while Walmart hit $14 billion.
