Walt Disney World Raises Prices for Annual Passes

What to Know

  • The price raise comes as a result of the grand opening of Star Wars: Galaxy Edge, the newest addition to Disney's Hollywood Studios.

If you and the family are planning a trip to see Mickey Mouse, you might want to stop by the ATM machine first as Disney World has raised prices on almost all its annual passes.

The price raise comes as a result of the grand opening of Star Wars: Galaxy Edge, the newest addition to Disney's Hollywood Studios. The new land is set to open August 29, 2019.

As of Tuesday, the Epcot "After 4" annual pass was $309, up $20 from the previous price of $289 for the entire year. The Silver Annual Pass increased from $479 to $519 while the Gold Annual Pass went up by $90, increasing the price from $609 to $699.

The Platinum Annual Pass will now be $899 while the Platinum Plus Annual Pass has increased to $999. The Theme Park Select Pass, which includes admission to at least one theme park with less block-out days, will stay the same price.

Prices for non-Florida Residents have increased as well. The Platinum Annual Pass is now $1,119 and the Platinum Plus Annual Pass is $1,219.

Walt Disney World will be holding special annual passholder preview opportunities for the new Star Wars land for those with the Platinum and Platinum Plus pass. Those dates have not yet been released.
