Precautionary Water Boil Notice Lifed in Hialeah

The city of Hialeah has lifted a precautionary water boil notice that was in effect last week. The notice was issued due to a water main break caused by a contract worker who was working in the area.

The precautionary move, prompted by low water pressure or lack of water, covered the area from West 4th Avenue to West 8th Avenue and West 44th Street to West 53rd Street.

When a water boil notice is issued, officials generally urge residents to bring all water to a rolling boil for one minute or use bottled water for drinking, making ice, preparing food and washing until the notice is lifted.
