Miami

Week Four Preview: Dolphins vs Raiders in London

The Dolphins and Raiders will battle in London on Sunday as Miami tries to get back into the win column

The Miami Dolphins will be playing overseas on Sunday against the Oakland Raiders and will try to end a two-game losing streak.

The game is the first of three in the NFL's International Series for the season. It will be played at Wembley Stadium in London where Miami last played in 2007. In that game, the Dolphins fell to the New York Giants by a final score of 13-10. That contest was the first NFL regular season game ever played overseas.

Coming into this game, the novelty of playing in London is a backdrop to a more critical story line for the Dolphins. After winning their season opener, the Dolphins have lost two straight games and have barely competed in either contest. Both games appeared to be winnable on paper before taking the field but the end results were vastly different.

Ryan Tannehill has struggled mightily this season and there were even some rumblings about him losing his starting job this past week. That talk came to an end however and Tannehill will indeed take the field on Sunday. His play though could ultimately decide if he's still behind center following a bye in week five.

With Knowshon Moreno still on the mend, Tannehill and the Dolphins will need to hope that Lamar Miller can step up like he did last week. Miller had a big game though the effort was wasted by a lack of a passing game to compliment it. The running back rushed for 108 yards against the Kansas City Chiefs on 15 carries.

Oakland has yet to win a game this season and sits at 0-3 which is reminiscent of last week when the Chiefs entered at 0-2. Miami will hope for a different result this time around in what would be another disappointing loss.

The Raiders are considered the home team for this contest which means this will be the second road game of the season for Miami. The Dolphins didn't take off for London until Thursday and practiced at their home facilities this past week for the most part.

Sunday's game is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m.
