Week Six Preview: Packers at Dolphins

The Dolphins will return to action on Sunday with a big game against the Green Bay Packers

The Miami Dolphins will resume their season on Sunday when they take on the Green Bay Packers at Sun Life Stadium.

Coming off a win in London in their last game, the Dolphins are hoping to improve to 3-2 on the season and renew hopes of a successful run. The win prior to last week's bye came over the Oakland Raiders and followed two disheartening losses for Miami. A season that started off with a comeback win had come crashing down in two games that the Dolphins were never in.

The Raiders are not considered world beaters but the win was still decisive and Miami had its offense and defense clicking. There were a lot of positives to walk away from the game with and the return of Knowshon Moreno this week should only help more. The running back will see his first game action since the second week of the season when he suits up on Sunday.

Moreno may not see his normal share of snaps but he could still be on the field enough to make an impact. Lamar Miller should see a little less action than he did with Moreno out but will also likely still play more of a role than he did in the opening week. Miller has done an admirable job while filling in for Moreno.

The Packers introduce a tough test for Miami as one of the best teams in the entire NFL. Aaron Rodgers is off to another terrific start with a 114.8 passer rating. That is in stark contrast to Ryan Tannehill's 82.1 rating. Miami's quarterback performed well against New England in the first week and then in London. His numbers however were dismal during the two-week stretch of losses and it led to brief talk of Tannehill being replaced even.

Green Bay has been pouring the points on this season especially in their last two games. The Packers have won two in a row and scored an average of 40 points in those wins. The last win coming in a 42-10 demolition of the Minnesota Vikings. Slowing down that prolific offense is going to be a tough assignment for Miami.

Head coach Joe Philbin was the offensive coordinator in Green Bay before coming to the Dolphins which adds a little extra to this contest. His Dolphins are also in the thick of the AFC East race due to a weak division. The Buffalo Bills lead the division but are only a half game ahead of Miami heading intho this game.

Sunday's game is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
