Miami

Week Six Preview: Steelers at Dolphins

The Dolphins will try to avoid their fifth loss of the season when they host the Steelers on Sunday

The Miami Dolphins will host the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium.

Thus far Miami is 1-4 on the year and this could be one of the tougher games on the schedule. The Steelers are 4-1 and are heavy favorites, despite the location of the game. Miami has had trouble against lesser opponents this year due to a myriad of issues.

The Dolphins have not played well offensively or defensively and have been dominated in time of possession. Even against the lowly Tennessee Titans, Miami could not get anything going last week. Ryan Tannehill's offensive line has failed to give him enough time to prepare plays, and injuries have taken their toll on the team.

Miami has the worst rushing defense in the entire NFL and that could be a big problem in this match-up. With Ben Roethlisberger putting together another fine season, the Steelers will cause enough issues for Miami as it is. With the possibility of a big rushing game as well, Roethlisberger and the Steelers could just get that much tougher.

Not only has Miami struggled to stop the run, but it has also had trouble getting its own running game going. The Dolphins are ranked 31st in the NFL in rushing yards per game and Pittsburgh has a top-five defense against running attempts. With the Steelers strong ground defense, this will put more pressure on Tannehill.

Pittsburgh has not been good against balls in the air this season, but Tannehill has failed to produce even against sub-par defenses. Miami's quarterback has six touchdowns and seven interceptions on the year, and those numbers could look even worse after this game. In last week's loss, Tannehill heard chants in reference to backup QB Matt Moore from the home fans. Another poor showing could lead to even more boisterous "We Want Moore" chants from the crowd.

Sunday's game will begin at 1:00 p.m.
