One Voice: Somos LIVE! A Concert for Disaster Relief

A star-studded concert featuring Marc Anthony, Daddy Yankee, Prince Royce and other artists will take place on Saturday, Oct. 14 at the Miami Marlins Park. The benefit concert will raise funds for disaster victims in Puerto Rico, South Florida, the Caribbean and Mexico. Tickets for the event -- which begins at 6 p.m. -- cost $15 - $50. 

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez will lead the event and telethon in Los Angeles from an NBC soundstage. The concert will air in Spanish simultaneously on Telemundo and Univision beginning at 8 p.m. EST, 8 p.m. PST. NBC will begin broadcasting the event in English at 10 p.m. EST, 10 p.m. PST.

Haunted Kayak Tour & Beach Party

Halloween may be two weeks away, but you can still get your spook on during Whiskey Creek Hideout’s Halloween Bonfire Beach Bash. The Dania Beach event is free to attend and will feature a live DJ, music, bonfire and costume contest. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can also take the haunted kayak tour for an additional $15. Paddleboards will be available, too.

The event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. The bash is free, but parking fees apply. ($6 per vehicle for 2-8 people, $4.00 for single occupant vehicle and $2 for pedestrians.) For more information, click here.

Friday’s Movie Night at Village Design Gallery

Grab your picnic blanket or lawn chair and watch a free movie as the sun sets around the Village Design Gallery in Fort Lauderdale. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from the nearby Market and Village Cafe, but you can also bring your own snacks. On Friday, Oct. 13, there will be a screening of Coraline. South Beach Brewing Company Pop Up Brunch Pool Party

Harvest Festival at Flamingo Gardens

Enjoy free hayrides, a pumpkin patch, scarecrows and a decorating station at Flamingo Gardens’ Harvest Festival. There is a special theme for each weekend of the festival in October. On Oct. 14 and 15, the theme will be “Pirates and Princesses.” The festivities begin at 9:30 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. For more information, click here. 

Oktoberfest

Originally a massive, 18-day festival in Germany, Oktoberfest has expanded to several other areas, including South Florida. Oktoberfest drinking events and parties are sprinkled throughout the tri-county area this month. This weekend, the German American Club of Hollywood will be hosting an Oktoberfest event on Oct. 14 starting at 4 p.m. General admission is $10 and club members get in for $5.
