Local transit systems will run on weekend schedules

A glimpse and what is open and what is closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas:

Malls: The Dadeland Mall, Miami International Mall, Aventura Mall and Sawgrass Mills close on Monday at 6 p.m. They are all closed Tuesday.

Grocery stores: Publix and Winn-Dixie close Monday at 7 p.m. They will be closed Tuesday.

Miami-Dade Transit: Will operate on a regular weekday schedule Monday, and on a Sunday schedule Tuesday.

Broward County Transit: Regular scheduled service on Monday, and a Sunday schedule on Tuesday.

Tri-Rail: Trains will run on a weekend schedule Tuesday.

Public schools: Closed all week.

Miami-Dade County and Broward County offices: Closed Tuesday.

State offices: Closed Tuesday.

Federal offices: Closed Tuesday.

Post offices: Closed Tuesday. Only Express Mail will be delivered.

Banks: Closed Tuesday.

Stock markets: Closed Tuesday.

Movie theaters: Open.
