Wide Receiver Greg Jennings Visiting With Dolphins

The Dolphins are continuing their search for another WR and will host Greg Jennings on Tuesday

The Miami Dolphins are in the hunt for more offensive help and will host free agent wide receiver Greg Jennings on Tuesday.

The list of names that have been invited for visits to South Florida continues to grow by leaps and bounds. Just days off after hosting Michael Crabtree, the Dolphins will try to make their best pitch to Jennings. Crabtree reportedly wanted more than Miami was willing to offer which forced the team to look elsewhere.

Jennings became available in part because of another move made by Miami. The 31-year old became expendable when his former team, the Minnesota Vikings acquired another WR. The player the Vikings brought in was Mike Wallace via a trade with Miami.

After his release on March 14th, Jennings became one of the more sought after players in the free agent market. Not only is Jennings a former Super Bowl champion but he has been to the Pro Bowl twice.

While Jennings is not the game-changing WR he once was, he would provide Miami with valuable depth and experience. Jennings has caught 63 touchdowns in his nine-year career with most of that run coming with the Green Bay Packers.

One thing that could work in Miami's favor is familiarity. Jennings played under Joe Philbin while with Green Bay and that connection could be a major factor in the WR's decision. Philbin may be able to get the most out of Jennings who could still be an asset to a team.

Miami has revamped its roster this off-season but as the spring rolls on, it appears that work is not done yet.
