Widow of Allapattah Shooting Victim Pleads for Answers

New information has been released in the murder of an Allapattah father, gunned down in front of his home.

It happened around 1 a.m. on Feb. 5 in the 2000 block of Northwest 31st Street.

Aaron Parrish, 44, walked outside to smoke a cigarette before bed when a gunman opened fire in what police are calling an "assassination style" murder. They also said he was an innocent bystander, because the shooter's intended target may have been Parrish's brother.

Investigators released video from the deadly night that shows the hooded gunman walking up to the house, then taking off in a getaway car.

On Thursday, the victim's wife pleaded for someone to come forward with information.

"My heart's been taken out. I feel like my heart has been ripped out of my chest and I don't know how to go on without him being there as a support for me and my children," Jessica Medlar expressed.

Medlar and Parrish's five children were inside the home when he was gunned down.
