Wife Who Forced Divorce With Knife Sentenced

Broward woman to spend three years on probation for violent break up

A South Florida woman will serve three years of probation for holding a steak knife to her husband's throat and demanding that he sign divorce papers and give her the deed to their house.

After prosecutors agreed to drop an attempted murder charge Wednesday, 53-year-old Tamara Strulovici pleaded no contest to aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Officials say the incident took place in May 2009.

Through a Russian interpreter in court Wednesday, the woman said she's not sure if she's still married to James Little.

Broward Circuit Judge Sandra Perlman ordered the woman to have no contact with Little.

Attorney Frank Prieto says his client has "no interest of ever having contact" with her husband, who now lives out of state.
