A wild skunk that appeared to have fallen into a water pipe while attempting to seek refuge in Miami-Dade on Wednesday was safely removed and wasn’t injured, officials said.
Around 2:15 p.m., Miami-Dade Fire Rescue’s Venom One unit responded to a call at 127th Avenue and Southwest Old Dixie Highway. Officials found the skunk, which was assessed for injuries before being released by Captain Jeff Fobb.
