Crews were called to the scene where a pickup truck ended up in the water in Bay Harbor Islands.
The incident happened just before 2 p.m. Wednesday at 9500 West Bay Harbor Drive.
Aerial footage showed the GMC pickup in the water just before it sank. The driver said she was trying to move the truck when it took a dive in the lagoon.
The woman said she was working with a lawn care crew and one of the men she was with helped pull her to safety.
Police said they detected signs of alcohol use and gave the woman a field sobriety test, which she passed. However, she was detained because she reportedly admitted she doesn't have a license.
The Coast Guard and other agencies responded to the scene to assist.
