Woman Accused of Drugging Men to Steal Rolexes Back in Court

A woman accused of drugging men in South Florida to steal their pricey belongings was back in court Wednesday with a new attorney as she prepares for a possible trial.

Liliana Vanegas, 24, is facing multiple robbery and grand theft charges in six separate cases. Her alleged accomplice, Fransisco Trujillo, was also in court Wednesday and is now facing another charge of grand theft.

Trujillo is still in jail but Vanegas has been out on house arrest wearing a GPS ankle monitor since her arrest. On Wednesday she showed up with her new private attorney.

Prosecutors say Vanegas would meet men at clubs or bars, would leave with them to their apartments or hotel rooms, would drug them by spiking their drinks and then steal their Rolex watches. And in several cases detectives say Vanegas would call Trujillo to pick her up. The two would then disappear planning their next heist.

Vanegas could go on trial on Monday and her alleged accomplice is scheduled to face a jury by the end of next month.
