Woman Charged With Murder in Shooting Death of Husband: BSO

A woman has been charged with murder after authorities believe she fatally shot her husband Saturday morning in their home following a dispute.

The Broward Sheriff's Office said the shooting happened in the 1900 block of SW 46th Terrace in unincorporated Fort Lauderdale around 8:50 a.m. Deputies responded to reports of shots fired, possibly related to a suicide.

But when authorities entered the home, they found 57-year-old Tina Belles standing over her husband's body in the kitchen.

Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue pronounced 56-year-old Rodney Belles dead at the scene.

Tina Bells "made spontaneous utterances to deputies about having shot her husband," BSO spokeswoman Keyla Concepcion said.

Bells has been charged with premeditated murder. She is being held without bond.

Investigators said the shooting is under investigation.
