A female armed robbery suspect was taken into custody after leading police on a chase through parts of Miami-Dade.
It started in Miami where police said 22-year-old Brittany Echevarria robbed a victim at knifepoint along Biscayne Boulevard and Northeast 33rd Street.
Police spotted Echevarria driving a white Dodge Caravan, and the chase was on. It ended on Miami Beach, where police cornered the woman after the Caravan rammed though a parking lot gate at Mount Sinai Medical Center.
Police fired a taser before taking Echevarria into custody. She faces numerous charges including fleeing police, resisting an officer, grand theft and robbery.
The robbery victim was not injured.
