    Fort Lauderdale Police arrested a woman suspected of a hit-and-run crash that left a young boy hospitalized.

    Lisa Gail Quiggins, 45, has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving serious injury, according to Fort Lauderdale Police.

    The incident happened almost two weeks ago when the toddler left the sidewalk in front of his home in the 5200 block of Northeast 18th Avenue and ran into on-coming traffic. Witnesses said he was hit by a red Volkswagen.

    Fort Lauderdale Police said Monday that they have found and seized the red Volkswagen Beetle involved in a recent hit-and-run crash with a young boy – and now need the public's help identifying the driver. Isaac Cruz's mother, Jenny Rivera, pleaded for the driver to turn himself or herself in.

    The boy was rushed to the hospital where he was in stable condition. Police have not said if the boy was released.
