Woman Assaults Boyfriend With Raw Steak: Police

A central Florida woman was arrested for steak assault

As far as food fights go, this one was pretty one-sided.

A central Florida woman allegedly slapped the taste out of the mouth of her boyfriend with a steak because he didn't want to taste her buns, police claim.

Elsie Egan, 53, was arrested late Tuesday night and charged with abuse of a disabled adult. The unnamed victim told police Egan repeatedly hit him with the uncooked steak and slapped his face because he refused to eat a piece of sliced bread. The man said he didn't eat the bread because he wanted a dinner roll.

Sometimes it's best to take what you can get, buddy.

At least the steak wasn't hot off the stove. Last week, a Port St. Lucie husband and wife got into a burger-tossing match. Florida is quickly becoming the food abuse capital of the nation.

But back to Egan.

The choosy bread boyfriend sent Egan into a culinary rage, police allege, and that's when she began beating him upside the head with the rare rib-eye.

Egan denies hitting the man with the meat, but did admit to slapping him "so that he could learn."

What lesson that would be, we're not sure. Maybe she was teaching him the different ways to tenderize a steak.

No word on if the victim ever got his bread roll or if he got to eat the steak. More than likely, he could have used it for the bruises.
