Woman Charged With Murder After Robbery Accomplice Died in Hollywood Crash: Authorities

A woman driving the getaway vehicle after a robbery was arrested on charges that she caused the death of her accomplice, who died in a crash as they were fleeing from police, Hollywood Police said.

Leterra Moore, 26, was taken into custody in Lake Worth Tuesday night, police said.

She faces numerous charges including vehicular homicide, unpremeditated murder and robbery in the Jan. 28 incident in Hollywood that resulted in the death of Larry Medlock Jr., 24, according to authorities.

Moore is being held without bond at the Paul Rein Detention Facility, online Broward Sheriff's Office jail records showed. It wasn’t immediately known if she has an attorney.

On Jan. 28, Medlock was at the Golf Crest Healthcare Center in Hollywood when he approached a woman from behind, stole her purse and knocked her to the ground, a Hollywood Police arrest affidavit said.

He then ran to a waiting car and entered on its passenger side, according to the affidavit.

The blue 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo fled the scene, but was pursued by police. While driving westbound on Johnson Street, officers observed a purse and other items being thrown out of the car, the affidavit said.

The driver, Moore, did not stop at a red light on Park Road and Taft Street and was hit on the passenger’s side by a white van, the affidavit said.

The car rolled after the crash and Moore was spotted crawling out of the driver's side window. Medlock then partially fell out of the window, before he was pronounced dead on the scene by Hollywood Fire Rescue, according to the affidavit.

Moore was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital to be treated for her injuries, the affidavit said.
