A man was taken into custody after his girlfriend was fatally stabbed in Pompano Beach Wednesday, authorities said.
The incident happened in the 1200 block of S. Cypress Road, Broward Sheriff's Office officials said.
Authorities said the woman, who is in her 40s, was stabbed inside a house and she made her way outside and collapsed in the street.
When deputies arrived at the address, they found the woman, who was taken to North Broward Hospital where she was pronounced dead, officials said.
The 38-year-old suspect was taken into custody at the scene. Authorities haven't released their identities.
No other information was immediately known.
