Authorities said they arrested a Port St. Lucie woman after she allegedly struck her boyfriend with a bottle of olive oil after they were having sex.
Barbara Hall, 60, was arrested on May 30 and charged with simple battery, according to an arrest report.
The 45-year-old victim told the Port St. Lucie Police Department he was having sex with Hall when she asked him to get olive oil from the kitchen to use as lubricant, an incident report obtained by TC Palm said. When the victim returned with the olive oil, the pair began arguing about him having sex with another woman, prompting Hall to strike him repeatedly and throw a bottle of olive oil at him, police said.
The victim had red marks on his arms and chest and a small cut on his face, the report said.
When questioned about the incident, Hall told authorities that when her boyfriend returned with a bottle of olive oil, she asked him if he had also brought PAM cooking spray. Hall said her boyfriend misunderstood what she said and accidentally admitted to having sex with a woman named Pam while the couple was broken up.
According to police, Hall said she was “uncertain” if she had struck her boyfriend but stated the victim punched her in the ribs.
Officials said Hall showed redness on the right side of her ribs and had a small blood mark on her finger.
Hall was released from jail on her own recognizance. It was not immediately known if she had an attorney.
