One woman was killed and two men were injured when a gunman opened fire outside a Liberty City market Monday night.

The shooting happened around 7:15 p.m. outside the King Brothers Market at 1304 Northwest 62nd Street when the gunman opened fire on several people standing outside the market, Miami Police said.

The 52-year-old woman, Linda Ann Grant, was shot in the stomach and rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital where she later died, police said. The two men were also taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Police said the gunman, who opened fire with two handguns, fled the scene on foot. His motive and whereabouts are unknown.

The shooting is being investigated and anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
