Worker Injured After Possible Gas Tanker Explosion at Port Everglades

A worker at Port Everglades was rushed to the hospital with severe burns to his body after officials say he cut into a tanker that was possible loaded with gasoline, causing an explosion.

The worker, who Broward Sheriff’s Office Fire Rescue crews say is in his 40s, was taken to Broward Health Medical Center with second and third degree burns to his torso following the flash fire.

Officials did not release any additional information, including what was inside the tanker and if any other workers were hurt.
