Two bulls escaped a slaughterhouse in Baltimore and ran loose in the city on Friday, July 22, 2016.

Two bulls escaped a slaughterhouse in west Baltimore early Friday, authorities said.

The bulls made it about a block away from the slaughterhouse on Pennsylvania Avenue, then stopped to hang out and eat grass, according to police spokeswoman Detective Chakia Fennoy.

Fennoy said the local firehouse had cages and police officers used cruisers to block in the bulls. No property damage was reported.

Police tweeted that the bulls had been contained to an apartment complex parking lot, then later said the bulls were "in custody," tweeting a video of a truck hauling a trailer away.

When a bull escaped a slaughterhouse in the same area in 2014, he made it two miles away to the Mount Vernon area, where police cordoned off several roads before shooting and killing him.
